At Bayleaf, our story is one of passion, perseverance, and family. It all began over two decades ago when Azmat Bhatti stepped into a restaurant kitchen for the first time. With no formal culinary training, he relied on his love for cooking and the guidance of his extended family who had been in the industry for years. Through hard work and dedication, Azmat honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of Indian and Mediterranean cuisines.​

In 2020, during the midst of a global pandemic, Azmat decided to open Bayleaf with the support of his wife Rani and daughter Saira. It was a risky move, but their love for cooking and desire to share their family recipes and flavors with others was too strong to ignore. Despite the immense challenges of keeping our doors open through the pandemic, Bayleaf stands strong, all thanks to the unwavering support and loyalty of our community. Azmat and Rani have tirelessly worked through these uncertain times, infusing every dish with love, tradition, and resilience.​
